The issues within the plugin menu are caused by the fact that I use a mac and you probably don't! They way i compress my files and you uncompress them causes funny line endings (to do with unix line break encoding). 

Upload the plugin, and when you see all the nasty code click on "edit plugin", immediately save the plugin and refresh the plugins page - you'll see (or you should do) the code dissapear.</description>
